Sexuality Education and Awareness
On February 27, 2024, Esther Iseoluwa Oyeyemi, our health training officer, conducted a sensitization session on sexual reproductive health for over 400 students during the Nigerian Sociological and Anthropological Student Association (NSASA) Week at Ekiti State University (EKSU).
The primary objective of the sensitization session was to raise awareness and educate students about various aspects of sexual reproductive health.
The sensitization session took place during the NSASA Week, an annual event organized by the Nigerian Sociological and Anthropological Student Association. The event provided an ideal platform to engage with a large number of students and disseminate important information regarding sexual reproductive health.
Esther Oyeyemi delivered an informative presentation on sexual reproductive health, covering topics such as contraception, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and the importance of consent.
The sensitization session proved highly beneficial, with over 400 students actively participating and engaging in discussions about sexual reproductive health. By disseminating accurate information and addressing common misconceptions, the session contributed to raising awareness and promoting responsible sexual behavior among the student community.
Our appreciation to the department of Sociology (EKSU) for the invite and providing platform to educate adolescents in the tertiary institutions.
