OUR PROGRAMMES
To accomplish our mission and set goals, Gold Heart Foundation for teens and orphans has a series of strategies in form of programs:
HEART OF HELP, HAND OF HELP: Is a program designed to mentor and help children and youths to discover, nurtures, and deploy their God’s given purpose and erase their negative mindset and life concepts that they have inherited from their various background which is affecting their present life through counseling, school outreach, and capacity development training, using provided resources. It is also a platform where abused and vulnerable children are given psychosocial support and assisted tangible and materially. Project #HELP
PROJECT HANDS ON SPINDLE: This program aims at encouraging independence among children and orphanages. We empower them with hard skills so that the end product will be useful for them at the home as well as for others. While we brand it with their home name and our organization name, 30% of the profit made will be returned to the organization by the home.
GIVING COMMUNITY PROGRAM: This is a periodic program which holds at the beginning and mid and end of the year and aims to raise funds and materials for the year’s projects through soliciting funds online and onsite. Erecting welfare boxes strategically, creating online donation forms, and walking and visiting exercises to solicit funds. #GCP
CARE FOR CAREGIVERS SUPPORT PROGRAM: This program is targeted at caregivers targeted. It aimed at providing necessary support for the children’s caregivers/guidance to have a livelihood and care for their children. #CARE
STEWARDSHIP SUMMIT: is an annual gathering program designed for teenagers and youth especially leaders, and prefects in schools, to empower them with leadership skills and acceptable character. We believe; a child of today grows up to be tomorrow’s adult and leader. If a child has the right mindset from childhood, he will grow up to be a responsible leader. It is also an event that brings students from different institutions and races together, which promotes teamwork, love, and unity among our children. #Stewardshipsummit
THE REUSABLE PAD PROJECT: One in 10 African girls misses school during their periods, the UN children’s agency, UNICEF, estimates. This means they fall behind in their studies and often drop out of school. To end period poverty, the project seeks to train Adolescent girls, especially low-income girls on reusable pads. To access adequate information on menstrual hygiene management through advocacy and sensitization. #TRPP
PROJECT STREET2SCHOOL: Elementary school is the first mandatory educational level all children around the world have to complete and it’s every child’s first step towards many different levels of knowledge. We consider elementary education the most important part of every person’s educational life, because, during elementary years, the child learn how to read, count, play, communicate, learn how to act on their own, get in touch with other children, develop critical thinking and learn more about the universe all around. Project #Street2school
Moreover, every child has the right to elementary education according to 42 Article 21A of the Constitution which states that the state shall provide free and compulsory education to all children from the age of six to 14 years in such manner as the state may determine by law.
This project aims at providing quality education (formal/informal) for vulnerable people especially children through enrollment of out-of-school children in school and aid children in school that is having constraints in accessing education resources such as tuition fees, notebooks, uniforms, sandals, etc to be self-reliant in future.
Through this program, we empower vulnerable children caregivers with relevant skills of his/her choice to cater to his/her ward(s) which is a way of sustaining the project.
Training for NGO start-up (GoldHeart Charity Work Training Academy): This is the registered business arm of the organization-a platform that nurtures and mentors social innovators who are restless about a social need or development issues/gap and willing to implement solutions that address the problems through establishing an NGO. This course runs for a month duration online and onsite at the required fee.
GoldHeart Digital Hub Academy: This Academy is a training school to enhance digital literacy among low-income boys and girls. By instilling digital literacy early on and nurturing it throughout their educational journey, we prepare girls and boys to be active, informed, and responsible digital citizens, capable of harnessing the power of technology for their personal and societal advancement. This, in turn, contributes to a more inclusive, innovative, and equitable society as a whole.
