Today, our team member Ademoroti Esther participated in a One-day Townhall meeting to discuss strategies to promote women’s political participation in Ekiti state, organized by Kimpact Development Initiative with support from the UN Women.

The meeting focused on the development of multisectoral action plans for promoting women’s political participation in the 2023 elections and beyond.

Some of the meeting outcomes include:

👩‍👧Women should keep supporting and stop saying “women don’t support women” belief rather women should amplify their voices to support female representatives in politics

👩‍👧Women have a larger population and the population size should be used in
to advance women’s political participation

It was such an engaging and enlightening meeting. We look forward to increased women’s participation in politics.
