On March 1st, 2024, the GoldHeart Foundation conducted a sensitization program at Amunye High School in Owo, Ondo State. The program aimed to educate and raise awareness among 68 Junior Secondary School (J.S.S) students about personal and menstrual hygiene, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Pastor Scott Odigie took the students through an introduction to the SDGs, as it was their first time hearing about them. He explained the 17 goals and emphasized the importance of their active involvement, ensuring that no one is left behind in achieving these goals.
Mrs. Adigun, on the other hand, provided comprehensive education on personal and menstrual hygiene. She demonstrated how to properly fix a pantyliner, and the girls eagerly followed suit. As a token of support, 50 Kotex Nigeria pantyliner packs were distributed to the girls. Their excitement was palpable, as many of them had never seen a pantyliner before.
The activity proved to be enlightening and impactful. The GoldHeart Foundation expresses its gratitude to the Yagazie Foundation for their generous support in providing the pantyliners.
Together, we strive to empower young girls and promote sustainable development in our community.
