In continuation of the International Day of the Girl Child 2023 celebration themed ‘Invest in Girls’ Rights: Leadership and Well-being,’ GoldHeart Foundation, in collaboration with Child Protection Network Ekiti Cpn Ekiti, sensitized over 400 students on the invaluable advantages of being a girl and crucial information on safeguarding against sexual abuse.

The Fida Chairperson of the Ekiti chapter eloquently expounded on the unique strengths and opportunities that come with being a girl, whileGrip Ngo provided essential guidance to the students regarding reporting incidents of sexual abuse. During the engaging question and answer session led by our representative, inquiries like ‘Why is attention given to girls more than boys?’ were addressed by our knowledgeable Fida chairperson and NSCDC representatives.

The school prefect representative and counselor expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizations for their benevolent efforts in shedding light to the significance of the girl-child.
