In celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, our organization was invited by the Plus-Circle Community Health Advancement Organisation to conduct reusable pad training and provide comprehensive menstrual education for adolescent girls in Moba Local Government, Ekiti State.
Our team trained 72 adolescent girls on making reusable pads using locally sourced materials from three schools: Osun Grammar School, Osun-Ekiti, Epe High School Epe-Ekiti, and Ave Maria School. We also delivered thorough menstrual education to complement the training.
The girls were enthusiastic about the new knowledge they gained and showed great interest in practicing how to create the pads. By the end of the training, each girl successfully made her own reusable pad.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Plus-Circle Community Health Advancement Organisation for the invitation and for bringing this valuable training to the grassroots community.
As an organization, we are dedicated to addressing the hygiene needs of girls and women by providing sustainable alternatives to disposable pads and enhancing menstrual education.
