Training: Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH).

Our Executive Director, Dowole Gold Moyinoluwa, as the secretary of Child Protection Network Ekiti, attended a two-day training on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH). This training was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development (MYSD) in collaboration with UNICEF Nigeria, took place on December 10th & 11th, 2024, at The Patron Hotel Conference Hall in Lekki-Ajah, Lagos.

During the training, gained a clearer understanding of both individual and organizational responsibilities in preventing sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH). I developed skills to assess SEAH risks within programs and implement effective mitigation strategies. Additionally, learned the significance of adopting a survivor-centered, trauma-informed approach when addressing SEAH concerns. Also acquired the necessary skills to support counter programs aimed at preventing SEAH and responding effectively to incidents, while identifying measures to collaborate effectively with UNICEF.

As an organization, the knowledge gained from this training will significantly enhance our organization’s capacity to prevent, support, and respond to SEAH issues effectively.
