Moyinoluwa Ogundowole is an experienced teacher and social development practitioner with over 8 years of expertise in community development. She has worked as a micro, mezzo, and meso social worker, focusing on students, children, and vulnerable individuals. Moyinoluwa specializes in advocacy, career guidance, education, social issues research, and personal development.

As a passionate advocate for youth empowerment, Moyinoluwa founded the GoldHeart Foundation For Teens and Orphans (GHF), a registered youth-led non-governmental organization. GHF’s mission is to love, support, cater to, and mentor young people, especially vulnerable children, through innovative initiatives aimed at promoting education.

Moyinoluwa is dedicated to knowledge transfer and is driven to find lasting solutions for societal change. To this end, she established the GoldHeart Charity Work Training Academy, a platform that nurtures and mentors social innovators who are passionate about addressing social needs and development issues. The academy empowers individuals to establish their own non-governmental organizations and implement solutions to tackle societal problems.

Currently, Moyinoluwa serves as the Executive Director of Gold Heart Foundation for Teens and Orphans. She is also an impact advocate for sustainable development goals (SDG4) in Ekiti state. In addition, she holds important positions such as the State secretary, of the Child Protection Network (CPN), Ekiti State Chapter, Secretary of the Network Against Child Trafficking, Abuse, and Labor (NACTAL) Ekiti State Chapter, Secretary of the Association for Orphans and Vulnerable Children NGOs in Nigeria (AONN) Ekiti chapter, and leads the Ekiti Program for Womenwill, an initiative by Google Business Group.

Over the past 8 years, Moyinoluwa has worked as a Geography teacher in both private and public educational institutions while simultaneously managing her non-profit organization.

Aside from her social work endeavors, Moyinoluwa is a tech enthusiast who actively contributes to various women in technology communities. She has made significant contributions to WomenWill, Women TechMakers, SheCode Africa, and Women in Technology from Facebook Developer Circles. She is a certified Google Digital Skills trainer and has trained numerous teachers and young people in digital skills. Through the Federal Government of Nigeria’s NEXIT program, she has also provided digital marketing training to over 2,750 graduates.

Moyinoluwa is a passionate advocate for menstrual health and has used her organization to build the capacity of non-profit organizations and thousands of girls through sexual reproductive health education. Her organization also produces reusable pads for low-income girls in rural and urban communities, addressing the Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) needs of adolescent girls and women by improving access to affordable hygienic solutions and raising awareness.

Furthermore, Moyinoluwa actively advocates against sexual gender-based violence (SGBV) such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM/C) and sexual violence. She uses her non-profit and various platforms to raise her voice against these issues, engaging in media campaigns, school programs, and community sensitization efforts to eradicate Female Genital Mutilation and child abuse in Ekiti state and Nigeria as a whole.

Moyinoluwa is a skilled speaker and facilitator, having conducted numerous training sessions on topics such as Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), career development, and personal growth.

She bagged a Master’s degree in Social Work at Ekiti State University, Moyinoluwa is an alumna of Tai Solarin University of Education, where she studied Geography and Environmental Management. She’s a certified and licensed teacher in Nigeria. She has also participated in various programs and networks, including the Encouragement Initiative NGO Academy, Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), African Youth Adolescents Network on Population and Development (AfiYAN), and the Global Youth Ambassador (GYA) program. Additionally, she is a member of the Coalition of Ekiti Civil Society Organizations (COECSO), Civil Society for HIV/AIDS, member of Nigerian Red Cross Society and volunteers for numerous organizations in various capacities.

In recognition of her impactful work, Moyinoluwa has received several prestigious awards. In 2022, during the African Youth Leadership and Entrepreneur Conference (AYLEC) held in Kigali, Rwanda, she was recognized as one of the top ten social innovators in Africa. She was honored with the “Most Impactful NGO” award at the Iconic Brand Awards in 2021. She also received the Award of Excellence from the Association Against Child, Sexual Gender-Based Violence in the same year. Other notable awards include the Freshwaters African Youth Foundation Award, the House of Oduduwa & Hope4Sure Foundation Award of Excellence, and the Inspirational Youth Award from the Ooni of Ife. She has also been recognized with the Community Impact Award from the SouthWestern Nigeria Excellent Awards, a Medal of Honor from the Wife of the Governor of Ekiti state, and the Inspirational Youth Award for community service from the Makeme Elegant International Foundation.

Due to her deep love for children and her commitment to helping the less fortunate, Moyinoluwa is affectionately known as “Iya Ewe” (Mother to many children).
