School Sensitization Against Drug Abuse
In commemoration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, as a member of AONN Ekiti engaged with 100 students at Ekiti Baptist High School in Igede-Ekiti, to raise awareness about the impacts of drug abuse and discussed constructive ways to address this issue.
During the event, our project officer, Comfort Taiwo, highlighted the importance of collaboration in the fight against drug abuse. Ms. Faith Ayanga and Ms. Ruth Adegoke provided a comprehensive overview of drug abuse, its effects, and effective strategies for prevention.
The session was highly enlightening, with students actively participating and absorbing new insights. They gained a better understanding of the influence of peer pressure on their choices.The program not only informed but also empowered the students to take a stand against drug abuse, promoting a sense of responsibility and community awareness.
