Review of Ekiti Open Government Partnership State Action Plan 2
On July 1st, 2024, the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Oyebanji, inaugurated the State Steering Committee on the Open Government Partnership (OGP). This was followed by a 3-day workshop organized by the Office of Development Partnership, African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development with funding support from the MacArthur Foundation, held 2nd-4th July 2024 at All Saint Conference Hall Ado-Ekiti.
The workshop brought together state and non-state actors from various departments to review and develop the Second State Action Plan (SAP2) for Ekiti State’s OGP commitments. The program included a refresher training on OGP thematic areas, principles, and the roles of state and non-state actors, facilitated by the program officer of LSD.
Our organization was represented by the executive director, Dowole Gold Moyinoluwa who contributed to the development of the “Gender and Social Inclusion” thematic area. Other key thematic areas covered include Citizen Engagement, Fiscal Transparency, and Climate Change.
We appreciate the Ekiti State government’s receptiveness and look forward to the successful implementation of the new and reviewed OGP State Action Plan.
