Market sensitization is crucial for promoting a culture of vigilance. When everyone looks out for one another, children are better protected. In commemoration of #National Children’s Week 2025, as a member of Cpn Ekiti, we engaged in market sensitization in Oye-Ekiti. We educated the populace, including vendors and customers, on the importance of looking after the children around us and encouraged them to be whistleblowers if they witness any cases of child abuse or neglect.

We also raised awareness about the often-silent forms of #childabuse, such as not providing a child with basic needs and the dangers of hawking. Moreover, we publicized the Ekiti State Child Rights Law to ensure that everyone understands their legal obligations to protect children.

Our team conducted both one-on-one and group interactive sessions to discuss these critical issues. From the feedback received, we believe the community understood our message and is motivated to act to protect children’s rights.

Childprotection is everyone’s business. By working together, we can safeguard our children and create a more peaceful society.
