“When girls identify their aspirations, they not only light their own paths but also create opportunities for significant societal change.”

In honor of International Day of the Girl Child, as a member of @aonnekiti we reached out to over 200 students at Christ School Ado-Ekiti. Our executive director, Dowole Gold Moyinoluwa discussed the various forms of gender-based violence that can impede children and girls from achieving their goals. She introduced strategies for addressing any type of abuse using the acronym SRR: Shout, Run, and Report.

She urged the students to speak up and seek help from GBV frontline responders in Ekiti, providing them with names and contact information for relevant agencies.

Esther Ademoroti, program officer at @bechod, and ochai_thankgod, program Officer, Bibi Grace Foundation emphasized the actions to take and avoid if they wish to realize their future visions.

As an organization, we remain committed to strengthening the resilience of girls. We believe that the aspirations they hold for their future can only be realized when they are empowered in all facets of their lives and free from gender stereotypes.
