Our organization representative participated in the two-day Retreat for social work practitioners in Ekiti State with the theme “Enhancing Effective Social Work Practice in Ekiti State” which was organized by the Ekiti State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady, held at Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort, Ikogosi-Ekiti (30th November & 1st December 2023).

It was an eventful, educative and interactive retreat. The event had educative presentations that border on the various aspects of interest to the social work, as well as physical wellness.

The retreat was of the view that there should be collaboration between government, civil society organizations and social workers to bring about optimal productivity but also enhance maximum achievements of the state goals, objectives and overall mandate.

We appreciate the wisdom of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and the Office of the First Lady, to organize the maiden Retreat with a view to synergizing efforts towards bringing together the social workers to share ideas and experiences for effective service delivery in the state.
