On 20th March, 2024; GoldHeart Foundation successfully conducted a sensitization program at Baptist Primary School in Igede-Ekiti. Over 90 pupils participated in an engaging session that employed gamification and role-play methods to educate them about child abuse, with a particular focus on consent, assertiveness, and reporting channels. The event was a resounding success, leaving the pupils filled with joy as they acquired new knowledge and skills.
The response from the pupils was overwhelmingly positive, as they found great joy in the learning experience. The combination of entertainment and education left a lasting impact on the children, equipping them with valuable knowledge and empowering them to protect themselves and their peers against abuse.
Our efforts to create a safe and supportive learning environment were commendable by the teachers, and the pupils greatly appreciated the opportunity to gain new insights.
