Menstrual Awareness
Effective menstrual hygiene education empowers individuals, fosters gender equality, and enhances overall health and well-being.
Recently, a round-table discussion was held with 25 adolescent girls at Deji Fasuan College in Okesa Ado-Ekiti in honor of World Menstrual Hygiene Day (#WMHD2025). The session provided comprehensive education on various topics, including reproductive anatomy, the puberty timeline, menstrual products, and basic management of menstrual symptoms. Pamphlets on menstruation were also distributed.
The girls actively engaged by asking questions about their menstrual experiences, and informative answers were provided. We extend our gratitude to all our sister NGOs for their support in making this year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day a success.
